Aljomaih Racing Team came second and third


The first Saudi hill climb race “Albaha Hill Climb 2017” concluded at Albaha Province

Aljomaih Racing Team, “ sponsored by Aljomaih Automotive Company (AAC), the largest dealer for General Motors cars in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East”, achieved both 2nd and 3rd places in the first Saudi hill climb race “Albaha Challenge 2017”, that was concluded last Monday, 7/8/2017.

Aljomaih Racing Team racer “Zakaria Salwan” came second, and cut across the 3800 m long course in 2:03:77 minutes, while his teammate, King of Camaro, “Falah Aljarba” came third in 2:05:01 minutes. Aljomaih Racing Team participated in this race aboard a Camaro ZL1, 2017, the all-new sports car which represents the 6th generation of this fantastic model.

 “Albaha Hill Climb 2017” race, the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia and the GCC countries, was held under the patronage of his Royal Highness Prince Hussam Ibn Saud, Governor of Albaha Province, and organized by the Saudi Arabian Motor Federation in collaboration with the General Entertainment Authority, and the participation of 18 Saudis and Arab veteran car racers.

On this occasion, "King of Camaro" and Aljomaih Racing Team captain “Falah Aljarba, said: ”Hill climb race is a challange in which drivers compete against the clock to complete an uphill course, and thus only strong cars can participate in it. Therefore, we used a Chevrolet Camaro ZL 1 car, which is on top of sports car category that fit in these kind of races.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Waleed Aljomaih, Chief Operations Officer of AAC, commented on the stunning participation of Aljomaih Racing Team in the “Albaha Hill Climb 2017” race, and said "Our participation in this great motorsport event is based on our strategy of being present in all youth-interest events in particular and society interest in general. Motorsport is exciting and thrilling, and our presence in this race enhances our communication and interaction with fans of strong sports cars.  We hope that this race is placed on the Saudi motorsport map for the coming years. "
